It's been a long time since I have used this page. Seems I am always too busy, but I see a little change coming to my future.
This past Thursday I scared the blue jeans right off my co workers - Mandy and Jennifer. Yes we had a busy week, but I didn't feel well and went to the restroom without telling them. While there it seemed that my body decided to have a heart attack. Surprised...yes I was. Planned...absolutely not. Want to do it again...never.
I was on the floor and called for help - didn't take long for them to hear me, even though we were having sirens going off due to the bad weather coming soon to Licking County. They got to me and saw I needed help NOW. They called for the Newark Squad who got to me quickly and did everything they could to get me to Licking Memorial. Now comes the best of the story. Loving to watch medical shows on TV I can tell you that most of what you see is true. The staff worked very fast to try and get my heart stable - they kept someone at my head (my angel) to talk to me about what was going on at all times, and the goal was get me to the heart cath lab. During the storms they called in the cath team who made it to the hospital in record time and started to work on me.
During the process I started to feel better and then this wonderful feeling passed over me and I was informed that the blockage (100%) was open and a stent was placed in my artery. Amazement is a good word for how quickly I felt better. If you know me you will not be surprised that I knew most of the staff or a family member of theirs that worked on me.
Recovery has been quick but ongoing. Plan to take just a few days off to rest and learn more about this next faze of my life.
These past few days have been very emotional for me, as I knew I was not ready to leave my family here so I was determined to heal my heart. I also hated for my mom to see me like this.
I remember everything that happened to me and around me, I haven't figured out if that is a good thing or not as it scares the you know what out of me.
There is so much more to the story but I want to thank the fellas from the Downtown Station of the Newark Fire Department and congratulations to Licking Memorial Hospital for another job Well Done! I couldn't have done it without you. Ron, Darin & Jennie....you have been my rocks. (Jennie cleaned up my house - what a girl)
My heart swells when I think of the love that has surrounded me in recent days. It means more than you will ever know.

Fruits of our Labor
There is nothing better than looking around your home after a hard day of cleaning to see the "fruits of our labor". The same goes for a day of laundry, only we see an empty laundry room. I spent Saturday morning picking up dance shoes for my dancing princess then the afternoon and evening I made my yearly batch of tomato soup. It's the only kind that I make from scratch and then process it so I have it year round.
You can see why it takes me more than an hour!

Heath Ohio
I read the newspaper articles and I even read the blogs (sometimes). Mostly I read the blogs for entertainment purposes because I can't believe that people really write that stuff!
The articles and blogs about the traffic camera's in Heath are killing me. Now the angry ticketed drivers are calling us at work. Seems they don't like getting 2 - 3 - 4 tickets in one day. Well I think that I have a solution..... SLOW DOWN & DON'T RUN RED LIGHTS PEOPLE. I think this seems simple enough - but clearly some people just don't get it. You are breaking the law if you speed and run red lights - so what don't they understand.
I don't believe that the camera's were put in place to anger the public, but to help us live just a little bit safer.
